Rachel Comey showed her spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection on Thursday at New York fashion week. It’s so vintage, hippie-inspired .. they look like the clothes I’ve always wished my mom would have saved from her teenage closet. The color palette is reminiscent of a photograph aged by time; rusty-oranges, washed-out denim and blues, faded creams, khakis and brilliant mustards. These are pieces I could imagine wearing to an outdoor festival like Woodstock, which is fitting, since the collection debuted on the heels of Woodstock’s 40th anniversary.
