Silver Springs

I've been going through some emotional frustrations lately regarding a relationship with someone in my life, and I randomly heard "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac the night of what I'm assuming to be our final dispute. I listened to it at least 20 times in a 24 hour time period. I promptly found my Fleetwood Mac 'Rumours' CD and have been listening to it ever since and now I'm playing "Silver Springs" on repeat and can't stop. It is SO relevant. Isn't it ironic how the perfect song always seems to present itself when you're going through something emotional, and it just eases the frustrations and helps make sense of everything? I love that about music; it's a recurring event in my life.

You could be my silver spring
Blue green colors flashing
I would be your only dream
Like the shining ocean crashing

And did you say that she's pretty?
And did you say she loved you?
Baby I don't want to know

So I begin not to love you
Turn 'round
See me running
I said I loved you years ago
I tell myself
You never loved me, no

And did you say it was worth it?
Really I don't want to know

Time casts a spell on you
But you won't forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me
I'll follow you down
'Till the sound of my voice
Will haunt you
You'll never get away from the sound
Of the woman that loves you
(Never get away)
I'll follow you down
'Till the sound of my voice
Will haunt you
(Give me just a chance)

You could be my silver spring
Blue green colors flashing

Steve Nicks is just fucking awesome. Few things inspire me more than the 60's and 70's..sigh.
